Joseph C. Aylward was born July 14, 1912 to Richard and Margaret Joyce Aylward. He died Jan. 8, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Aylward served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 531st Bomber Squadron, 380th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
