John C. Atchison was born May 7, 1924 to Thomas P. and Gladys Faye Fleming Atchison. He died Sept. 24, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Pvt. Atchison served in World War II with the U.S. Army 350th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
