Mickiel Daniel “Daniel” Ash was born Dec. 26, 1913 to J. Henry and Catherine Burke Ash. He died Dec. 20, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Sgt. Ash served in World War II with the U.S. Army 347th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.
