Fred Asche was born June 11, 1921 to Ludwig and Elsa Lubowsky Asche. He died Sept. 20, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Lorraine, France.
Cpl. Asche served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3rd Reconnaissance Troop, 3rd Infantry and was KIA in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
