Joseph Francis Arndt was born Jan. 18, 1908 to William and Elizabeth Franze Arndt. He died Sept. 16, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
Sgt. Arndt served in World War II with the U.S. Army 47th Infantry Battalion, 5th Armored Division and died in Germany in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
