William Franklin Armstrong was born Apr. 9, 1921 to Lester Elmer and Beulah Shipley Armstrong.
Lt. Armstrong served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific area carrying ammunition to Luzon and Iwo Jima. He served aboard the USS Hercules (AK-41).
