Gerald L. Arends was born about 1925 to George M. and Hannah McCormick Arends. He died Nov. 24, 1944, and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Pvt. Arends served in World War II with the U.S. Army 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division was KIA while in the service of his country and was awarded the Purple Heart.
