Aviation Cadet Donald W. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Anderson, 2104 Nash Street, recently was graduated at Thunderbird Field, Arizona and is at Polaris Flight academy, Lancaster, California.

Donald W. Anderson, pilot of a B-25 and deputy flight commander has been promoted to the rank of first lieutenant while serving in the Philippines where he has been stationed for the last seven and a half months. Lt. Anderson, a graduate of Central High School, has been awarded the air medal and has completed 32 missions and 275 combat hours. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E J. Anderson, 2215 W. Second Street. His wife, Elizabeth, and 2-month-old son, Alan Don, live at 405 S. Wall Street.
