Cadet David N. Anderson has completed six months sea duty with the merchant marine, having traveled more than 35,000 miles on a merchant vessel and witnessed bombings and machine gunning’s of his ship, which carried high explosives.
Prior to sea duty he took an 18-month course at the merchant marine academy, Long Island, New York, where he will return for further study after a 10-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson, 912 29th Street.
