Ralph F. Allen was born Jan. 29, 1923 to Thomas Eugene and Luella Lermmers Allen. He died Apr. 19, 2016 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.
Pvt. Allen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 5th Division, 11th Regiment, 3rd Battalion, Company L, Second Platoon. He was wounded in action in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart.
