Bert Edwin Allen was born July 24, 1918 to Edwin Harry and Ula Birdsall Allen. He died Feb. 3, 1977 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Sgt. Allen served in World War II with the U.S. Army with the 273rd Army Ground Forces Band.
