Pfc. Adams in Austria with 9th Army Troops
Pfc. Donald Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone Adams of this city, has been awarded the purple heart for wounds suffered last January and is now back on duty with Ninth army troops in Austria, his parents have been notified.
Adams was hit in the back of the head by shrapnel and spent three months in a hospital in England. He has been overseas with his infantry unit since October.

Donald Ray Adams was born Jan. 23, 1919 to Antonio Ray and Bessie McFarland Adams. He died Jan. 12, 1962 in Aransas Pass, TX.
