Clarence W. Acklin was born about 1912 to Jesse C. and Grace P. Acklin. He died Oct. 13, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
Pvt. Acklin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 41st Infantry Battalion, 2nd Armored Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
