News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
ALLISON—Mrs. Hugh Ziert has received word from her husband that he is now in India in an English camp. He wrote of the Silent Tower and explained that when people die over there they put them on top of a metal plate in the top of the tower and the vultures eat them up in a few minutes and the bones drop down in the bottom. The Indians’ white sacred cows take possession of the streets. Pvt. Ziert went to the Army in March and is in the anti-aircraft division.
