Corporal John W. Yockey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Yockey, of Jefferson, S.D., formerly of Leeds, is stationed somewhere in New Guinea. Corporal Yockey went overseas with the Seventh Cavalry last May.

John William Yockey was born Jan. 7, 1910 to Forrest O. and Dena F. Rolfes Yockey. He died Oct. 30, 1987 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
