PROMOTED
Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Winslow, 814 Harrison street, that their son, Dell Winslow, who is with the 101st paratroop division, has been promoted from staff sergeant to technical sergeant and has been awarded the purple heart for wounds received in Normandy on D-day. Tech. Sgt. Winslow has seen active duty in Holland, France and Belgium. He has been in the service three years and has been overseas 17 months. He is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school.
