Pfc. A. B. Wiggins Dies of Wounds, Parents Notified
Pfc. Alvin B. Wiggins died of wounds in Manila February 6 according to a telegram received from the War Department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Wiggins, 715 Dubuque street.
Pvt. Wiggins was born in Sioux City August 22, 1924, and attended Central high school. He received his infantry training at Camp Roberts, Cal., and was then sent overseas to the Marshall islands.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Cpl. Kinzie Wiggins, stationed at Fort Mead, Md., and Orville of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. M. Nanek, also of Sioux City.

Kinzie Patten Wiggins was born Aug. 10, 1916 to Lewis and Ida Buss Wiggins. He died June 28, 1998 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
Cpl. Wiggins served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
