News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
OSAGE—Cadet John Weaverling, stationed at Sheppard Field, Tex., is in the hospital at the base, where an operation has been performed on a knee, the result of an old high school basketball injury. He is recovering satisfactorily and has been told that he will be given a furlough when he is discharged from the hospital—about Christmas time.
His company was shipped out recently and with it went three local friends who have been with him since they all entered the service about 8 months ago. They were: Felix Diaz, William Grinstad and Orrie Knudson, the latter of St. Ansgar.
