LOCAL BOY GETS NAVY PROMOTION
Promotion of Norman R. Walker from seaman first class to torpedoman, third class, was revealed in word received Friday by his father, R. W. Walker of 109 Park avenue.
Torpedoman Walker, in the navy two years, had recently completed 13 months of service in the Pacific war zone, where he took park in eight engagements. He is now assigned to a destroyer in the Atlantic.
