“Pat” Vercande Home With Discharge Papers
L. F. (Pat) Vercande, of Brooklyn, has received his discharge from the service after about three years and nine months in the Air Force. He took part in six campaigns as a crew chief with the 506 F. S., 404 Unit, which flew 511 missions.
“Pat” had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and had been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, six battle stars, Presidential Citation, and a citation from the Belgian government, the Fourragere. He received his discharge on Sept. 13.
