Purple Heart Given to Private’s Wife
Mrs. Andrew J. Swolley, 314 North Sixth street, has received the Purple Heart awarded her husband, Pvt. Andrew J. Swolley, for a hip wound suffered in France on July 13.
Now hospitalized in England, Pvt. Swolley entered the infantry a year ago and has been overseas since May, 1944.
Prior to entering the service, he was employed by the Ak-Sar-Ben bridgd as a maintenance man. His brother, Cpl. France L. Swolley, is in the army air corps.
