OUR NEIGHBORS in the SERVICE
Peterson, Ia.—Cpl. Lloyd E. Steffen is a member of an air service command ordnance company serving in the Burma-India theater of action which was recently awarded the meritorious service units plaque. The honor was given for superior performance of duty in the execution of exceptionally difficult tasks and for the maintenance of a high standard of discipline. The award entitles Cpl. Steffen to wear on his right sleeve the golden laurel wreath indicating membership in an organization so honored.
