Lest We Forget
Theodore Snieder was born at Sioux Center, Iowa, on August 14, 1919, and later the family moved into Ireton, McNally vicinity and he attended schools in this vicinity. He enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Forces in January 1941 and was scheduled to receive commission as Lieutenant in November, 1942. On October 8th, word was received here that he and a companion had met with an accident during a routine flight and which caused his death. Theodore is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ed Van Donge, his stepfather, his sister Helen, and two brothers, Jerald and Edward of this vicinity.
