Flight Officer James E. Cordell, 2519 Court street, recently was graduated from the Hondo army air field, Hondo, Tex., after completing the army air forces technical 36-week B-29 flight engineer course at that field. Other Iowans included Flight Officer LeRoy H. Jones, Primghar; Second Lt. Phillip M. Sawyer, Sanborn; Flight Officer Harley J. Schuning, Minden; and Flight Officer Clement J. Molony, Denison.
