Sgt. William Romanchuk, son of Mrs. Anna Romanchuk, 2207 10th street, is a platoon sergeant with the 804th tank destroyer battalion on the Italian front. This formerly was the 104th anti-tank battalion and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Tex., until December 1941. The personnel was later training in the Borego desert in California, stayed a while at Camp San Luis Obispo, Cal., and then moved to the tank destroyer center at Camp Hood, Tex.
