ROGGASCH GIVEN BRONZE STAR
“For aggressiveness, initiative and constant devotion to duty” Rex R. Roggasch has been awarded the bronze star, an official citation received by his mother, Mrs. Rose Wrinkle, 1004 Fourteenth avenue, has revealed. Mrs. Wrinkle also has just received word of his promotion from private to corporal.
With a tank destroyer battalion, he has been on active duty with the Third army for nearly five months. He has been in the army since March 13, 1942, and prior to going overseas was stationed at Camp McCay, Wis.
Cpl. Roggasch has one brother, Pfc. Arnold Paul Roggasch, who has been in Italy for a bout two months.
Prior to entering the service he was employed by the Council Bluffs Grape Growers’ association.
