IN UNIFORM
Cpl. Floyd Renshaw, formerly of Sioux City, who is with the Seventh army in France, has received a commendation from his brigadier general in recognition of his submission of 12 designs for shoulder patch insignia to be worn by anti-aircraft artillery personnel. Cpl. Renshaw was in the initial landing at Salerno, saw action at Cassino, took part in the break-through at Anzio and landed on D-day in southern France. He is a former pupil at Central and East high schools, and before his induction August 27, 1942, he was employed by a decorating company. He is the son of Mrs. Katherine Bliven, 601 W. 17th street, South Sioux City. A brother, Clarence, is with the United States army in India.

Sgt. Floyd F. Renshaw, son of Mrs. Katherine Renshaw, 601 W. 17th street, South Sioux City, recently was promoted from the grade of corporal. He is serving with an antiaircraft unit in the European theater, and has participated in the battles at Salerno, Cassino, Anzio and in the invasion of southern France. He was commended for designing an insignia for anti-aircraft personnel in his theater of operations.
