PROMOTED
Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Pilling, Ogden hotel, have received word of the promotion of their son, Alan W. Pilling, from ensign to lieutenant (jg) in the United States navy. Lt. Pilling was graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school and the State Teachers’ college at Wayne, Neb. He taught and was superintendent of schools for three years at Yutan, Neb., before taking the V-7 course at the United States Naval academy at Annapolis, where he was commissioned in January, 1943. Since that time he has served in the south Pacific area.
