MADE SERGEANT
W. Earl Petry has been promoted from sergeant to staff sergeant in Italy, it was learned here Saturday.
In the Italian theater of war for the last two years, he was employed by the Union Pacific railroad here prior to entering the service. S. Sgt. Petry’s wife and sons reside at 146 Ridge street. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Petry, 1717 Avenue H.
