IN UNIFORM.
Pvt. John L. Gerking, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gerking of Leeds, is training at Kingsley Lake, Camp Blanding, Fla. He is serving with the paratroops.
Norman Leroy Olson, who makes his home with the Gerkings, recently arrived in Boston from the American theater of war in England. He has been in the Navy as a gunner two years and has seen service on both the Pacific and Atlantic. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olson of Sioux City, and since their death, he and his sister Mary Ann have lived at the Gerking home. He attended McKinley school and Trinity while in Sioux City.
