Local Youth Is Given Promotion
2nd Lt. Harry J. Noblitt, of the infantry, overseas since June of 1943, has been promoted to first lieutenant, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Noblitt of 400 Oakland avenue.
Lt. Noblitt entered the service in August of ’42, received his basic training at Fort Riley, Kan., and officer’s training at Fort Benning, Ga. He attended Simpson college and prior to entering the service was connected with the federal bureau of investigation in Washington, D. C.
Lt. Noblitt is a graduate of the high school in Atlantic.
