FORCES IN FRANCE—Although they face the toughest terrain experienced in 29 months overseas, the 696th Pipeline company of Continental Advance section, still lays an average of five miles of pipe a day. Serving as a member of this unit is Pvt. Victor J. Nebendahl, 1630 Eleventh street, Marion.

Victor J. Nebendahl was born Jan. 17, 1911 to Henry and Victoria Cacek Nebendahl. He died Mar. 21, 2008 and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, CA.
Victor served in World War II with the U.S. Army Engineers.
