2 Sioux Cityans Listed Missing
Both Pvt. Sinkey and Pfc. Morey Served With Infantry
Two Sioux Cityan infantrymen are missing in action, the War Department has revealed in messages to relatives here.
Pfc. Edwin H. Morey, 29, has been missing in action in France since January 4, his wife, Mrs. Morey, 3421 Garretson avenue, has been informed by the War Department.
Serving with an infantry division, Pfc. Morey has been overseas since the middle of October, 1944. He entered the army April 21, 1944, and took his basic training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ark.
He is the father of three children, Jeaneene, 9, Jimmy, 5, and Danny Lee, 3. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Morey, live at the Garretson avenue address. Before going into service, he was a filling station operator. Pfc. Morey was born at Primghar, Ia.
