Pvt. Cashie Morey Gets Unit Citations
Pvt. Cashie W. Morey, who returned to the States after spending 15 months in the South Pacific with the Marines, has reported to Jacksonville, Fla., where he is receiving further training.
While overseas, Pvt. Morey was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Midway, Guam and on the Marshall Islands. He received two presidential unit citations, one with the Fourth Marine air wing and the other with the Fourth Marine infantry regiment.
Pvt. Morey, attended East high school, enlisted March 27, 1943. He recently spent a 30-day delay en route furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Morey, 2423 S. Cleveland street.
