ANTHON MAN WINS NAVY, MARINE MEDAL
Des Moines. –(AP)—The Navy and Marine corps medal has been awarded to Signalman Orville G. Miller of Anthon, Ia., the navy public relations office here announced Wednesday. The citation, which followed Miller’s voluntary rescue in a whaleboat of survivors of a shelled ship, said that “as a result of his prompt and courageous conduct, many lives were saved.”
