NEWS About MEN AND WOMEN IN SERVICE
Petty Officer Harold S. Miller pharmacist mate (1/c) and Mrs. Miller who have been visiting his parents, the A. E. Millers, during the past two weeks, will leave Thursday evening for Bremerton, Washington, where he expects to be stationed for some time. Petty Officer Miller took part in the invasion of Okinawa, wears the American, Pacific and Asiatic area ribbons, and has been awarded the Bronze Star. He also received a citation for outstanding service as a hospital corpsman during and following the action when a Japanese plane and its bomb struck the ship.
