S. Sgt. McDowell Killed in France
S. Sgt. Elmer M. McDowell, 30, husband of Mildred Harrington McDowell, 128 Elliott street, was killed in action Jan. 2 in France, according to word received here Monday.
Sgt. McDowell, with the army for nine years, had been overseas for a year with a quartermaster unit. Mrs. McDowell is now with her husband’s parents in California.
