Altoona Boy Given Conduct Ribbon in Italy
With the Fifth Army, Italy—Private Earl J. McConnell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McConnell of Altoona, Iowa, has been awarded the Good Conduct Ribbon. He is serving with an anti-aircraft searchlight unit of the Fifth Army in Italy.
