MEN IN SERVICE.
Lawrence P. Heck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Heck, 2601 W. 19th street; Neil R. Grimsley, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Grimsley, 113 Bluff Street; Melvin E. Tadlock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory B. Tadlock, 2516 Ridge Avenue; Gene C. Maun, son of Teresa V. Maun, and Grange W. Huff, son of Mrs. E.P. Kilker, 1612 Main Street, have been graduated from the Navy service school at Great Lakes, Illinois and are in line for promotion as third class petty officers. Heck specialized in aviation ordnance, Grimsley and Maun in radio, Tadlock in signal corps work, and Huff completed the course for torpedo men.

Gene Maun, radio man second class in the navy, who has been with the fleet in the South Pacific, is on 30-day leave which he is spending with his mother, Mrs. Tres Maun, 307 13th street.
