Notes About N.E. Iowans in the Service
OSAGE—Mr. and Mrs. Dell Lievrouw have received word from their son, Apprentice Seaman Walter E. Lievrouw, located now at the San Diego training station, California. It’s not a question of all work for him, he states, for he has made the naval basketball team and states that his team has, so far, been undefeated. If the two next games prove victories, his group will then hold the title of regimental champions. He further states that he often sees two of his Osage friends, Dean Fish and Gerald Heiden. All three boys were members of the graduating class last spring of the Osage high school.
