Three More Waterloo Men Casualties
Waterloo casualty lists Saturday included Pfc. Arvine E. Benedict, 20, killed in action; Staff Sgt. Norman D. Gibbs, 19, missing; and Staff Sgt. Wallace Lichty, 22, wounded for the third time.
Sergeant Lichty, formerly of Waterloo, who was wounded in August and November in Belgium, has been wounded again, sometime in January in Germany, it was learned here Saturday. He is now hospitalized in England.
He has been presented the Purple Heart and a cluster for the first two wounds. His wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Lichty, reside in Spring Valley, Minn.
A sister, Mrs. Marvin Grady, resides at 1117 Randolph street, and a brother, Keith, lives on La Porte road.
