IN UNIFORM
Capt. Frank H. Lash, navy chaplain, native Sioux Cityan whose wife lives in Clovis, N.M., has been awarded the letter of commendation authorized by the secretary of the navy. The citation, which tells of his work in England in the days of the formation of the task forces for the invasion, states in conclusion: “Throughout your tour of duty your personal example has proved potent inspiration to officers and men of this area and has been a beacon to the members of your own chaplain’s corps as well. Not the least contribution has been the splendid spirit of cooperation which you have fostered with the United States army and various British forces.”
