Nashua—Pfc. Charles Lampson, son of Mrs. Harvey Huffman, Ionia, after a nine day furlough has returned to Ft. Sheridan, Ill., for discharge. He has served nearly four years in the Army, the last year being overseas with the First, Third and Ninth armies. His decorations include the Bronze Star, three battle stars and stars for meritorious service in connection with the Ludendorf bridge over the Rhine during establishment of the Remagen bridgehead, and the Good Conduct Medal which he received before going overseas.

Charles Junior Lampson AKA Charles Huffman was born June 13, 1919 to Charles Milton and Alma M. Thompson Lampson. He died July 10, 1881 and is buried in Poyner Cemetery, Gilbertville, IA.
Pvt. Lampson served in World War II with the U.S. Army. After the death of his father his mother was remarried to Harvey Huffman.
