IN UNIFORM
Sgt. Preston A. LaShier, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. LaShier, 1519 Isabella street, was with the first American troops to enter Japan. They landed near Tokyo three days before the surrender was signed. A graduate of East high school, he entered the Army in February of 1942.
