Pfc. Orville Krukow

Terril, Ia.—Pfc. Orville Krukow of Terril is returning home from the Fifth army front in Italy after serving more than three years overseas. Krukow is a truck and jeep driver for the 109th engineer combat battalion, a unit of the veteran 34th “Red Bull” infantry division. He is returning to the United States on rotation after participating in the Tunisian and Italian campaigns. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Krukow, reside at Terril.

Orville John Krukow was born Dec. 25, 1918 to Max Julius Franz and Mary Mertens Krukow. He died Jan. 26, 1985 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer, IA.
