Private Alvin L. Krone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Krone, 1616 Jones Street, has been transferred from Camp Adair, Oregon, to Fort Lewis, Washington.

Pfc. Alvin L. Krone, has returned to Camp Atterbury, Ind., after spending a 14-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Krone, 1616 Jones street. Pfc. Krone, with an infantry division, took part in the invasion of the Philippines and was wounded November 11 on Leyte. He received the purple heart medal and was returned to the States on New Year’s day. Since that time, he has been in hospitals on the west coast. Pfc. Richard S. Krone is the fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. Krone to enter the service. He is in cavalry training at Fort Riley, Kan.
