Aviation Cadet Nicholas Karroll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Karroll, 411 S. Wall Street, is receiving communications training at the army air force technical school at Yale University.

Nicholas Karroll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Karroll, 411 S. Wall street, was promoted to first lieutenant January 4. A member of the army airways communications system, he has served in the central Pacific area since July 1944.
