Oakland Sergeant Wounded in Action
OAKLAND – S. Sgt. Andy Jensen, 35, was seriously wounded in action while fighting with the infantry in Belgium on Jan. 16, according to word received here by his wife, Minnie.
Mrs. Jensen received a letter from her husband telling of the rifle bullet wound in his right shoulder, followed by a war department telegram saying her husband has been removed from the front.
Sgt. Jensen entered the army in November, 1943, and has been overseas since May, 1944.
