Charles D. Hoffman, Sioux City, has graduated from the naval air training center at Corpus Christi, Texas and received a second lieutenant’s commission in the Marine Corps. He is the son of L. O. Hoffman, 3211 Dearborn Street. Lieut. Hoffman is a former Kemper Military academy student.

Charles D. Hoffman has been promoted to first lieutenant in the marine air corps, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Hoffman, 3211 Dearborn street. He is a dive bomber pilot and is stationed at the marine air base, El Taro, Cal.
