Glenwood Sergeant Freed From Japs
GLENWOOD – Dr. and Mrs. D. W. Harman were informed Tuesday by the secretary of war of the safety of their son, Sgt. Lloyd Harman, who was returned to military control on Sept. 9 in Japan. Sgt. Harman, a victim of the Bataan tragedy, was reported missing in action on April 9, 1942.
The Harmans have heard from him irregularly during his period of confinement. He was imprisoned in the Philippines for 18 moths and then transferred to Japan. Sgt. Harman, a regular army man, was in the corps of engineers.
